Switzerland is a small version of what the U.S should be in the terms of the 2nd Amendment. Switzerland has not been in any wars since 1815, it being neutral in all the major wars such as WWI and WWII. As these major battles have gone past, it has stood there, watched, and held onto their weapons; the very thing the U.S should have done during the major world wars. At the beginning of WWI, Belgium was a neutral nation as well as the Swiss, but Germany invaded anyway. Germany did not bother to invade Switzerland. Why is this you ask? Because in Switzerland, you are required by law to own a gun and to know how to shoot. Germany did not bother to invade because it knew that if they did invade, a guerrilla war with a population of marksmen was inevitable. This kind of warfare is the toughest to deal with. It is when the fighters of the defensive country (in this case the Swiss) to shoot and run, in and out, fast. Taking as many enemy soldiers down as fast as they can without giving the enemy the time they need to aim and fire back. Any nation would be careful to invade another if that nation, like Switzerland, had it’s entire population armed and trained with firearms. That is solely the reason that Germany refrained itself from attacking Switzerland. Now if gun bans pass in the U.S, it will give any other nation that has a problem with the U.S to take their chances and strike now. If all they have to deal with is the military, it won’t be as much as a threat rather than having the military and the population of the nation protecting themselves too. Switzerland even has a national gun day where everyone in the country shows up to have a marksmanship competition.

Notice what the Mark said at the end of the video: “The key to freedom, is the ability to be able to defend yourself. If you don’t have the tools to do that, then you are left at the mercy of your captors.”
So, as you can see, gun bans are bad ideas. One problem could lead to another, taking away guns leaves us as citizen unable to protect ourselves.
